DBB Morticer Steel Door Cutter DBB Morticer Steel Door Cutter Making a Lock mortice in a steel door is a particularly tough Job. Steel is a lot tougher than wood or Aluminium. So, after many years, Souber Tools have a solution for morticing Steel Doors. These are primarily for doors with thin sheet skins 1.5mm to 2.5mm thick. The New 25mm Cutter is designed to fit in the Souber Morticer and allows the user to make a series of 25mm holes in a link or chain to create a slot. The user simply clamps the Jig to the Door. Pushes both clamps together to prevent any possible up or down free movement and then plunges onto the door surface to make an initial hole. The process is then repeated again and again until a slot is created. The Slot is then “cleaned up” with a suitable power tool and the corner cut to suit the lock faceplate. • 25mm Diameter Cutter. • Screw-on thread for the DBB Morticer Shaft. • 8 teeth made from HSS Tool Steel.
