Due to the fact that they are made of carbide and are incredibly resistant to wear they are ideal for locksmiths to use for a multitude of tasks. The Karnasch burrs are coated in a special “BLUE-TEC” which is a patented coating specifically designed for burrs, which helps to reduce heat when in use. The patented BLUE-TEC coating permits processing of hardened steels up to approx. 70 HRC. Only the best micro grain carbide grades are used. All burrs are 100% braze tested for strength and safety.
