Patio Door Anti Lift Device Patio Door Anti Lift Device Most sliding doors are fitted by inserting the top of the door into the frame and then placing the bottom into the bottom frame. It is obvious therefore that they can be lifted out of their runners by spades or levers to gain entry. To counter this method of attack we designed the PAL (Patio Anti Lift device) which is a small but very effective way of stopping this kind of entry. Just fit pals to the top of the frame and adjust so that they fit above the cross section uprights on both sides of the door. If the door can’t be lifted it can’t be taken out of it’s runners. The PAL has two cut lines so that it is easier to cut down to suite the height of the gap and is adjustable on a threaded insert with a lock down screw supplied (seen to the right hand side of the pic.) Unscrew the top disc (with the hole in it) from the body. 2. Fix the top disc into the centre of the top runner of the frame, ideally fit two, one near either end. 3. Screw the body onto the disc and tighten the screw to prevent it unscrewing itself. 4. If the body is to large and stops the door from closing, remove and cut down at the correct sacrificial point that suits your door.
