Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have developed the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to aviation-related incidents and urban fire emergencies as a member of an emergency response team. Participants will be able to identify and manage hazards, apply safe work practices, support search and rescue operations, operate firefighting equipment, and contribute to coordinated emergency response activities in accordance with organisational procedures, workplace safety requirements, and relevant legislative and operational standards. Participants will demonstrate the ability to work effectively under supervision as part of a coordinated response team during both aviation incident and urban fire response operations, including recognising aviation-specific hazards, applying safe response procedures, and proceeding to fire scenes in a safe and controlled manner under direct supervision. Career Pathways Career opportunities following completion of this training may include roles as Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, industrial firefighters, site emergency responders, or safety personnel within industries such as mining, resources, defence, aviation support services, and remote site operations. Study Pathway After completing this training, students may choose to progress to broader emergency response qualifications such as the RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue or other nationally recognised units related to firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency incident management.
