Students who successfully complete this training course will develop the essential skills, knowledge and competence required to work safely with emergency response equipment. Upon completion of the assessment, participants will have the ability to: Inspect and test response equipment – Conduct thorough inspection and testing of emergency response equipment, height safety equipment, and firefighting devices to ensure workplace safety and compliance. Maintain and test response equipment – Apply systematic procedures to prepare, maintain and test response equipment in accordance with industry standards and organisational procedures. Clean, maintain and restore equipment – Perform cleaning, maintenance and storage of tested equipment and supplies to ensure operational readiness. Assess equipment competency – Evaluate the safety, functionality and compliance of units of emergency response equipment through practical assessment and inspection protocols. Document maintenance and testing – Complete accurate records of inspection, testing, maintenance and certification activities in accordance with jurisdictional arrangements and statutory requirements.
